Wonderful Adventures in Limerick

There are beautiful pink fluffy trees here that put their petals everywhere! It's so great!

Bridge in Limerick

Ayumi Enokibara and me (: She wanted to swing with me

Well this week was craaaazzzzyyy. We had our Transfers. So I now have the wonderful Sister K. Martin. LOL! She is wonderful. She's from Bountiful Utah. We have been having way too much fun together! It's great! We do so much finding, We either talk to people on the streets or we go and chap on their doors. Funny story- Last night as we were walking home from our seemingly unsuccessful night of chapping we saw this man on the opposite side of the street and he was listening to his music jamming out not paying any attention to us. I don't even know if he saw us. But we followed him trying to catch up for like 10 minutes. So we decided to run after him and Sister Martin had this wonderful idea of how she would pretend to talk on the phone to someone and I would stop him and talk to him and then she would join in. So we ran after him and it worked. He stopped and talked to me. His name is Tamal and he is Christian. He took a Book of Mormon from us and we will go and see him on Saturday.  So that is really exciting.  He probably thought I was crazy chasing after him, but it worked!!

So on Wednesday we went to Howth-In Dublin. We went to some cliffs and we sat and watched the ocean. It was seriously so peaceful. But you know me I gotta be me...So I decided to roll down the cliff right to get to the edge so that i didn't fall trying to walk down. Haha SO I started to roll down these cliffs and I rolled right into stinging nettle plants! I was so itchy for like 3 days. It was so horrible. But I didn't fall off the cliff and so that is good! It was a lot of fun being with the STL's (Sister Training Leaders) on Wednesday! Also Sister Hinck was with us, so that was fun! We had a blast! We picked up Sister Martin at the bus station and I was like 30 minutes late because of traffic and it was lame. But She is so great! Oh I just love her. I am seriously so lucky! We are doing well together, finding lots of people, knocking on a ton of doors. walking 16 miles in one day and 15 in the next. This transfer will be amazing! I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us here in Limerick!

I sure do love being a missionary! It's the best! It can be hard- But it is so worth it. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! Hope you have a great week! Be Good :-)    Love, Sister Stribling
So when you get to 6 months you are supposed to burn a pair of old tights. So I did.

Moves Call...Staying here in Lovely Limerick

SO- I will be staying here in lovely Limerick and Sister Martin will be going to Edinburgh. Exciting  stuff! My new companions name is- SIster Martin. Haha I get another Sister Martin. So confusing!
Well this week was pretty good. It is warming up so much! It's insane! We don't even need to wear our coats. So that's good. On Monday we went exploring to try and find something super fun to do for our P-day and we found something! We found this awesome little park and it even had a zip line! How cool is that! Pretty cool. Well we did a "companionship bonding" thing where you and your companion go on the zip line together. So I jumped on at the count of 3 and she jumped on my lap right after that and off we went! Haha it was sooo funny! But It was so awkward Sister Martin jumped off before we made it to the other side! HAHA!
Awkward Zipline
Exchange with Sister Wilkin
This week we also had exchanges with the Sister training leaders (Sister Foster and Sister Wilkin). Sister Wilkin stayed with me here in Limerick. We had too much fun! We walked over 27 Kilometers!(17 miles). In one day! Crazy. We went out to try and visit some less active families but none of them were home, so that was really sad. But then we had the chance to chap some doors around and we met some really neat people. So funny story of the week-- We met this lady with cool purple hair. I told her how much I loved her hair and asked her if she knew of a way to get the red color out of my hair. Well she sure did and she told me about this product that you can get at supermarkets for like $10 that will get the color out. So the next day I got some and put it in during our lunch time. Sister Martin came out of the room and I was sitting in a sunny part of the flat and she started to freak out because my hair had turned blonde...HAHA! I thought I was going bald because it was so light. So we washed that stuff out as fast as possible to uncover a beautiful bright orange color...(It would have been beautiful on a flower... not my head)... I was so sad. Sister Martin wouldn't stop laughing at me LOL! I will admit it was pretty funny. So as we were running to the store as fast as possible to get brown hair dye, the Zone leaders drove past us and we just busted out laughing. It was too funny. Well I got it fixed and now I look normal again. SIDE NOTE- Don't worry Dad I am done messing with my hair now. (: I learned my lesson and I am not listening to any purple haired ladies I meet at their door.. Sheesh.
 Uh Orange Hair

Well as Sister Wilkin and I were trying to talk to people in the city something really weird happened to me. I tried to talk to like 10 people in a row and I opened my mouth and no words came out... I just stood there with my mouth wide open and nothing was coming out. It was so crazy. I don't know what happened. It was crazy. Then I felt sad. That was no good :( So we decided to go door chapping instead and that was better. It was just so strange. We met this cool lady who is Catholic but she was very interested in the Book of Mormon and so we gave her one and we will go back to her house to see if she had the chance to read some of it. Hopefully she did.
Man sometimes it is just so hard to get going, or to talk to people. It can just be tough. But as long as we have faith and know that we are doing everything we possibly can then it all just seems to work. I don't know how. But it does. Heavenly Father is actively involved in all of our lives. We just need to open up to him and allow him to help us. I LOVE YOU ALL! SO MUCH! DO GOOD THINGS! ~SISTER STRIBLING

Cliffs & Craziness of Limerick

Hanging out @  the Cliffs of Moher with Elders Haller & Bayles & Sister Martin
So this week in the Crazy city of Limerick...Well we did a lot of street contacting with people. We did some street boarding where we stood on a street and tried to talk to people while they hurried by. We found 2 cool people that we can hopefully meet with. We also did some door chapping which is always fun! Didn't find anyone but we got to talk to quite a few people. Missionary work is great.
So this week we also had our Zone Conference. Which is always good! I learned a lot and it was very uplifting. One thing our District president (he is like a stake president) talked about was how everything needs to start with families. We have been encouraged to work with more part-member and less-active families. There is really so many opportunities all over. They are kinda just playing hide and seek with us.
This week we had the chance to teach a new man. He LOVES gardening! It is pretty much all he talks about. Everything he says he relates it back to gardening. So trying to teach him about the Book of Mormon was quite the Challenge. He has met with missionaries about 4 times before so he has been told about these things before. He just told us about how he doesn't feel like God wants him in just one church. So what I decided to do was to invite him to plant a seed. A seed of faith and I told him if it grows then we invite him to be Baptized. He said he will think about it (:
So I have these hunky blistery things on my feet and so we tried not to walk as much this week. (mom note-I bought her some Clarks shoes seen in the picture above hanging over the cliff and they cut into her heel and did this damage to her feet. I feel so bad and will be taking this up with the store I bought them from soon. Poor baby)

But a couple of scary stories from this week!!  A man walked with us for over a mile talking to us at first and then after a bit started being weird and saying stuff to us. Well we had no idea what to do besides tell him to go away and leave us alone. Sheesh. We called all the Elders who live around us but they were all busy so we were just scared and didn't know what to do! Well the first Elders to call us back was one of our Zone Leaders and One of the AP's so they came to our rescue. They are great!
Second scary story. (During Street Boarding) We asked the question on our street board "What makes you Happy?" and some guy yelled at me and told me I make him happy. And so he wrote it on the board and then made a B line to me and tried to kiss me! WEIRDO! Needless to say I moved so fast and he left. Phew. Some people....
But other than that our week was not very eventful so that's good! I am doing okay. I hope that your weeks are great! LOVE YOU ALL!  Sister Stribling

Crazy Week (6 months down)

Well, This week Monday started off by us running around the city for P-day. We didn't do much but after that we ate dinner with the Faloon family, they are seriously the best! I just love them so much!
On Tuesday we had our District meeting. After that we had Smoked Salmon for lunch, and then we tried to do some street boarding. Which didn't work very well because it started to hail. Crazy stuff! So we decided against that and we tried to knock on peoples doors. Way better.
Wednesday We sorta just did the same thing as every other day. Try to find people. We taught this guy named Etan, But I don't think we are going to get anywhere with that.. It's sad really.
Thursday is our day for planning and so it seemed like we planned all day on Thursday. But after we were done then we tried to find more people to teach. It is a never ending task really but it can be so much fun! We get to meet so many cool people every single day! We are really so lucky.
Friday and Saturday we had Exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders. That was good. We spent all day in the City Center with our street board asking people questions about Easter and what makes them smile. We found 3 amazing people who we will hopefully be able to meet with and to share with them! Two of them were from Transylvania and they are here for school. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
Sunday we had General Conference. It is amazing to me how different people can be but how we can all find the answers we need while watching General Conference. The Men and Women who speak to us during those meetings are so inspired and it is just so great. Here the conference times were pretty weird and so we didn't get to see the Sunday Afternoon session. But I am sure it was amazing! I think my Favorite talk was in the Saturday Evening, by Brother Anderson talking about how we need to hear the gospel music in our hearts! It sure is a lot harder to get things out of your heart and so I thought it was just a great talk!
Well today we had the chance to go out to the Cliffs of Moher. It was so pretty out there. It was even like 21 degrees today! Crazy! And I saw the Skinner Family! (A family from another ward in St Robert MO) What are the odds of that! Really! It was so great and uplifting to see them. The Cliffs were so beautiful and we got some crazy pictures really close to the edge! Well I hope that you all are doing great! LOVE YOU!! ~SISTER STRIBLING

... Pictures aren't loading I will try to send them next week.
